#Vault movie movie #Vault movie full He wants to make a difference rather than just follow in his father’s footsteps. In The Vault, Freddie Highmore plays an extremely intelligent young man who also comes across as being a good guy. I’ve basically always liked Freddie Highmore but he really won over my horror heart with his Norman Bates role in Bates Motel. His name is Thom Laybrick and he’s portrayed by Freddie Highmore. While The Vault (also known as Way Down) does have somewhat of an ensemble cast, it is still with a young genius front and center. #Vault movie full Also, don’t worry, it doesn’t go full CSI where the conclusions come insanely easily to everyone. #Vault movie movie That makes this movie a lot more entertaining than just a classic “paint by numbers”-storyline. Personally, I always enjoy a good action-adventure movie, but with The Vault, you get the added bonus of having an intelligent thriller as the genre-driver. Instead of trying to get out of a place, they need to figure a way to get inside a vault. However, one of the characters does reference Danny Ocean (George Clooney’s character in Ocean’s Eleven) so the tribute is obvious.Īlso, I liked that it avoided all the major tropes and stereotypes while still staying true to the overall concept of a heist movie. In some ways, it’s almost like a reverse “ escape room“-deal. It doesn’t have quite the same humor and lightness as that franchise. It is just playing randomly. There is a definite air of Ocean’s Eleven to this movie. In short, there is no thought or takeaway. The Vault (film) doesn’t look like a proper cinema but rather a commercial flick just to entertain the audience. They don’t have any chemistry and equation with each other, and thus, not many layers of the story have been explored. The characters of the films aren’t fleshed out and just look like puppets coded to complete the mission. However, any of these choices aren’t anything peculiar and we have seen a lot of them in heist films like Mission Impossible, Ocean Eleven, and Money Heist. It portrays some cliche tricks, like revealing the facts late, a hidden rat in the team, and holding back the information. The Vault (film) lacks the “wow” element that completely astonishes you. A sequel to the film will follow on to the next heist. The fortune is buried beneath the Bank of London, which will be their next target. Walter and his team are quite surprised to find the spot.
